Theft: Detroit Road

A manager at a Costco store came to the Avon police station Nov. 22 to report the theft of $698 worth of beef tenderloins on Nov. 17. The manager told police that he had reason to believe that this theft was related to a similar theft that had taken place earlier in the day on Nov. 22. There was no further information available at the time of the report.

Theft: Chester Road

Two Elyria women were arrested at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 15 after shoplifting more than $165 worth of clothing from a Walmart store. There was no further information at the time of the report.

Drunken driver: Jaycox Road

A Lorain man was arrested for open container and operating a motor vehicle while impaired at 9:50 p.m. Nov. 14 after being pulled over for speeding and failure to maintain assured clear distance.

Drunken driver: Ohio 83

A driver was pulled over for weaving in and out of lanes at 2:31 a.m. Nov. 23. He was later arrested for operating a motor vehicle while impaired.
