Bledsoe Co. police arrest fugitive after search Saturday morning

 

Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Department have now confirmed the identity of the suspect Sunday morning.

They say multiple agencies aided in last night’s arrest of Tyler Shell.

Law Enforcement says at around 8:15 PM, officers received a call from a resident on Blue Sewannee Road.

The homeowner was outside the home and saw Shell who charged at him. That’s when the resident fired one round at the the suspect…hitting him.

Shell was then arrested and transported to Erlanger with non life threatening injuries.

According to Bledsoe County Sherriff Jimmy Morris, the fugitive stole a car in Sequatchie County earlier Saturday morning. He was considered armed and dangerous.

Morris says he was high on drugs.

He was arrested a little before 10 PM Saturday night.

Morris couldn’t remember the suspects name and couldn’t clarify why he’s being called a fugitive.
